2018 All-GAC Teams

BENTONVILLE, Ark. — Five Southern Nazarene tennis players earned postseason honors as the Great American Conference released its all-conference teams and scholar-athlete awards winners.
 
Noelia Gomez was named All-GAC First Team while Polina Chala and Anna Garcia were named to the All-GAC Second Team. Chala also received Elite Scholar-Athlete honors as the top GPA at the GAC Championship. Chala earned her fourth overall All-GAC selection and third to the Second Team while Gomez brought home a Second Team honor for the second time in three years and Garcia earned her second straight GAC honor.
 
Gomez picked up three wins on the year in singles play and one in doubles. Chala recorded six wins in singles and three in doubles, while Garcia tallied two wins in singles and one in doubles.
 
Judit Mas and Dragana Samardzic each were named GAC Distinguished Scholar-Athletes. To be named a Distinguished Scholar, student-athletes must be on the championship travel squad, have earned 70 hours prior to the spring semester, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.7 or higher.
