Great American Conference Athletes of the Week
RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the league's track and field weekly awards for the sixth week of the season. Southern Nazarene's Colin Pasque brought in the Crimson Storm's first Great American Conference Field Athlete of the week award.
Pasque took third in the pole vault at the Wichita State KT Woodman Classic as he posted a height of of 4.96 meters. Nick Meyer, who completed unattached, finished first with a height of 5.30 meters. Pasque's height of 4.96 meters marks the second time this season that he has hit the NCAA DII Provisional Standard (4.76 meters). Pasque hit the standard earlier this season at the Tulsa Duels with a height of 5.10 meters. He became the first pole vaulter in the GAC to reach the NCAA Division II Provisional standard. His mark of 5.10 ranks sixth in the country.
Pasque will compete next April 21-22 at the Great American Conference Championships, hosted by Harding in Searcy Ark.
