The Crimson Storm (1-4, 0-1 GAC) were in control after doubles as
Polina Chala and
Noelia Gomez upset the Central Region's No. 9-ranked team of Annie Shannon and Alexandra Cuello 8-1 at No. 1 doubles.
Anna Garcia and
Dragana Samardzic also won 8-4 at No. 2 doubles.
Judit Mas and
Trista LeGrande fell 8-4 at No. 3 doubles.

The Reddies (4-4, 1-0 GAC) though won four of the six singles matches to take the match.

Chala and Garcia were the only ones to pick up wins in singles, but Gomez and Samardzic put up fights. Chala won the first set in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7-4), but dropped the second set 6-1. She then won the final set 6-2 to get her first GAC win in singles on the year in No. 1 singles. Garcia won in straight sets at No. 3 6-3, 6-0. Gomez just was edged in a tiebreaker 7-6 (7-5) in the first set and fell 7-5 in the second at No. 2 singles. Samardzic also fell 7-5, 7-5 at No. 4.

Mas lost 6-2, 6-2 at No. 5 while LeGrande fell 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.
