EDMOND, Okla. — Southern Nazarene dropped its first match of the spring with an 8-1 defeat at Central Oklahoma.
 
The Bronchos (2-0), ranked No. 7 in the central region swept doubles and gave up just one singles match. The Crimson Storm (0-3) recorded their lone win at No. 3 singles as Anna Garcia won 6-4, 6-4.
 
Polina Chala fell 6-0, 6-3 to No. 43 (National Ranking) Alli Hodges at No. 1 singles. Noelia Gomez won her first set at No. 2 singles7-6, but then lost the next one 6-4 before falling 10-8 in the tiebreaker. Dragana Samardzic fell, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4. Judit Mas also won her first set 6-4, but lost 6-1 in the second set and lost the 10-2 in the tiebreaker at No. 5. Trista LeGrande also lost 7-6, 6-4 at No. 6.
 
In doubles, Chala and Gomez went toe-to-toe at No. 1 doubles, but lost 9-8. Garcia and Samardzic lost 8-1 at No. 2 and Mas and Taylor Sullivan fell 8-0 at No. 3.
