EDMOND, Okla. — Southern Nazarene fell 8-1 to No. 22 Midwestern State as
Polina Chala was the only SNU player to pick up a win on the day.

It wasn't easy for Chala though as the sophomore had to battle back from behind down a set after losing the first 6-3. She won the second set 6-4 before picking up a 10-7 tiebreaker to score the lone win at No. 2 singles. Chala moved to 4-1 on the year and won her third straight match.

The Mustangs (3-0) ruled the roost from there. MSU swept doubles as
Noelia Gomez and Chala fell 8-6 at No. 1. SNU didn't pick up a set at No. 2 or 3 as
Paulina Obreque and
Judit Mass lost 8-0 at No. 2 while
Dragana Samardzic and
Taylor Sullivan lost 8-0 at No. 3.

Noelia Gomez took on her second nationally-ranked opponent in No. 37 Maddie Schorlemmer, who is also ranked No. 3 in the South Central Region, and fell 6-2, 6-2 at No. 1 singles. Samardzic fell 6-2, 6-3 in her first match at No. 3. Obreque lost 6-1, 6-0, at No. 4 while
Kylie Lang fell 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5.
Judit Mas also lost 6-0, 6-1 at No. 6.Â
