BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene opened the Great American Conference season with an 8-1 loss at home to Southeastern Oklahoma State.
 
Polina Chala and Noelia Gomez moved to 4-2 on the year at No. 1 doubles as the two picked up a 9-8 (8-7) win to pick up the Storm's lone win. Dragana Samardzic and Taylor Sullivan fell 8-1 at No. 2 doubles while Pauline Obreque and Judit Mas lost 8-3 at No. 3.
 
The Savage Storm (3-3) swept all singles in straight sets. Gomez fell 7-6, 6-3, at No. 1 singles. Chala lost 6-3, 6-1 at No. 2 while Obreque fell 6-2, 6-2. Samardzic lost 6-1, 6-4 at No. 4 and Mas lost 6-4, 6-0 at No. 5. Kylie Lang also lost 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6
