OKALHOMA CITY — Southern Nazarene picked a bad time to catch No. 20 Cameron as the Aggies opened the season by getting upset by Oklahoma Baptist before sweeping Southern Nazarene 9-0 Thursday afternoon.
 
The Crimson Storm (1-1) went into singles down 3-0 after losing all three doubles matches. Judit Mas and Taylor Sullivan fell 8-1 at No. 3 doubles while Paulina Obreque and Dragana Samardzic fell 8-0 at No. 2.
 
Polina Chala and Noelia Gomez (No. 8 in Central Region) battled back from being down 5-2 with four straight sets to take a 6-5 lead, but Cameron's Zhenia Shviadok and Alina Gorina won the next three sets to pull of the 8-6 win.
 
Cameron swept all six singles matches in straight sets. Gomez fell 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 while Chala lost 6-1, 6-3 at No. 2. Obreque lost 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 and Samardzic fell 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4. Mas lost 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5 and Kylie Lang lost 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.
