BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene dropped a 5-2 decision Monday at home to Missouri Western as SNU picked up wins at No. 1 singles and doubles.
 
Masha Andrianova and Natalia Moreno picked up an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles, but Polina Chala and Karina Kotova lost 8-6 at No. 2 and Kaitlyn Atkeson and Taylor Sullivan fell 8-0 at No. 3.
 
Andrianova was the only player to win her singles match as she picked up a 6-0, 6-1, at No. 1 singles. The Griffons (11-2) though picked up wins at 4, 5 and 6. Kotova lost 6-1, 6-3, at No. 4, Atkeson lost 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 and Sullivan fell 6-1, 6-0 at No. 6.
 
The Crimson Storm were leading at 2 and 3 singles, but didn't get to finish those matches. Chala led 6-2, 4-0 at No. 2 and Moreno held a 6-1, 5-4 lead at No. 3 before MWSU picked up the fifth match.
 
The Storm fall to 2-11 on the year and will close out the regular season Tuesday with a 2 p.m. match against Central Oklahoma.
