RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Southern Nazarene lost a 7-2 match to the Central Region's No. 3 Arkansas Tech 7-2 in its final Great American Conference contest of the season.
 
The Crimson Storm (2-9, 2-4 GAC) recorded just two wins and those came at No. 2 and 4 singles.
 
Polina Chala knocked off No. 20 (Central Region) Bohdana Sardak 7-6, (7-4) 6-3 at No. 2 singles while Karina Kotova won 6-3, 6-4 at No. 4.
 
ATU swept doubles to start with a 3-0 lead as Masha Andrianova and Natalia Moreno fell 8-3 at No. 1. Chala and Kotova also lost 8-3 at No. 2 and Kaitlyn Atkeson and Taylor Sullivan lost 8-0 at No. 3.
 
Andrianova took her first loss in Great American Conference play as her 18-match winning streak came to a close. The senior, ranked No. 6 in the Central Region lost 6-4, 0-6, 10-7 to No. 19 (Central Region) Tamara Bell at No. 1 singles. Moreno fell 6-2, 6-2 at No. 3 and both Atkeson and Sullivan lost 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 and 6 singles.
 
The Storm now close out the regular season with three matches next week. The first up is Central Oklahoma Tuesday at 2 p.m.
