BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene bounced back from a Great American Conference loss Thursday with a big 5-4 win over Harding Saturday.

The Crimson Storm (2-4, 2-1 GAC) started off big with two wins in doubles and held off the Bisons (7-4, 0-1 GAC) in singles for the match win.

Masha Andrianova and
Natalia Moreno moved to 4-2 on the year with an 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles while
Polina Chala and
Karina Kotova also moved to 4-2 with an 8-5 win at No. 2.
Kaitlyn Atkeson and
Taylor Sullivan fell 8-1 at No. 3.

In singles, Chala won her second straight match at No. 2 with a 6-1, 6-0 win, but Harding picked up wins at Nos. 3, 4 and 5 singles. Atkeson fell 6-3, 6-2 at No. 5 and Sullivan lost 6-4, 6-3 before Kotova lost a three-set match 6-2, 2-6, 6-2 as Harding tied it at 4-4.

It all came down to Andrianova at No. 1 and true to form that advantage went to the Storm. Andrianova won the first set 6-3, but fell 6-4 in the second. The senior though buckled down to score a 6-2 win in the final set to give the match to SNU.

The Storm now get set to travel to Oklahoma Baptist Tuesday for a 2 p.m. non-conference match.
