LUBBOCK, Texas— Both track and field teams competed at the Texas Tech Open Friday and Saturday.
 
For the women, Aliyah Nolan placed 25^th in the 200 meters with a time of 27.54 and Raven McDaniel placed 30^th with a time of 27.88.
 
Nolan led SNU in the 400 meters as well with a 24^th place finish in a time of 1:04.49. McDaniel also competed and placed 31^st in a time of 1:05.89
 
For the men, Garrett McGrady competed Friday in the shot put and placed sixth with a throw of 13.98 meters.
 
Colin Pasque placed second in the pole vault as he cleared a height of 4.75 meters. His mark was 0.09 above the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark.
 
Sterling Wright led the way for SNU in the 200 meters with a time of 23.54. Dalton Stout placed 25^th in a time of 23.63 and Deandre Vick placed 32^nd in a time of 24.34.
 
Grayson Haws placed seventh in the 800 meters with a time of 1:58.73. Andrew Leahey placed 17^th with a time of 2:01.88.
 
The 4x400-meter relay team of Stout, Wright, Vick, and Korey Eakers placed 12^th in a time of 3:29.86.
 
Both teams will next compete at the UCO Open held in Norman, Okla. Jan. 24.
