ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Southern Nazarene recorded its third straight win and gave up just one match Friday afternoon in an 8-1 route of Ouachita Baptist.
The Crimson Storm (5-7, 4-1 GAC) swept all but No. 6 singles and won in straight sets in all eight matches,
SNU didn't miss a beat in doubles as it won 8-3 at both No. 1 and 2 and won 8-4 at No. 3. Masha Andrianova and Marina Shipilova scored the win at No. 1 while Deisi Bolivar and Natalia Moreno won at No. 2. Karina Kotova and Peton Bergmann scored the win at No. 3.
Andrianova won 6-2, 6-0 at No. 1 singles while Bolivar won her ninth straight without dropping a set at No. 2. Natalia Moreno won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 3. Shipilova and Kotova flipped scores at No. 4 and 5 as Shipilova won 6-0, 6-3 while Kotova won 6-3, 6-0. The only loss was at No. 6 for SNU as Kim Wiedemann lost 6-4, 7-5.
Southern Nazarene now gets set to travel to Arkansas Tech for an 11 a.m. GAC match.
