Box Score ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Despite using a rotation of just six men, Southern Nazarene managed to pull off a 65-49 win at Henderson State, Thursday night.
The Crimson Storm (11-9, 7-7 GAC) hit a season-high 12 3-pointers as SNU fired 32 shots from outside the perimeter.
Quan Conner led the way for SNU with a career-high 26 points as he drained four treys and went 6-for-7 from the free-throw line.
Garrett Butler hit a career-high five 3-pionters as he scored a career-high 17 points. The freshman went 5-for-9 from beyond the arc and 6-for-11 from the field.
Conner also had eight rebounds and four assists while Butler had four rebounds.
Trey Mohair added 10 points and two assists while
Antwone Jackson had six points and nine boards. Jackson also had five blocks.
The Storm fired 42.6 percent from the field, 11-for-22 inside the arc. SNU scored 19 points off of 20 HSU turnovers and held the Reddies (10-10, 5-9 GAC) to just 37.7 percent from the field.
Neither team led by more than five in the first half until the Crimson Storm used a 9-1 run to close out the first half. The Storm pushed the lead to 33-25 early in the first half, but the Reddies cut it to 33-31 with 16:05 left to play. Conner then drained a trey to start a 28-11 run to take a 61-42 lead with 4:40 left to play and cruised from there.
Southern Nazarene now stays in Arkadelphia where it will play Ouachita Baptist, Saturday, at 4 p.m.
