Quan Conner buried six 3-pointers in a big win on the road

Conner scored his first 20-point game of the season.
Box Score MAGNOLIA, Ark. — Quan Conner drained a career-high six 3-pointers and Southern Nazarene matched a season-high with nine treys in a 72-53 win over Southern Arkansas.
 
The Crimson Storm (8-6, 3-5 GAC) shot 54.3 percent from the floor and 56.3 percent from 3-point range and got a career-high 24 points from Conner in the win. The junior went 7-for-12 from the field and 6-for-9 from 3-point range. He also dished out a game-high seven rebounds.
 
Ryan Aaron added 15 points and five rebounds  off of the bench as he went 5-for-6 from the field and hit both 3-point attempts. Brady Burford scored 11 points and had six boards while Tyrone Lyons had eight points and eight rebounds.
 
SNU held SAU to just 38.2 percent shooting from the field, 32.3 in the second half, and held the Muleriders to just 24 points in the second half. The Storm also out rebounded SAU 37-23.
 
The Storm led by as much as eight early in the first half, but an 18-5 run by the Muleriders gave them a 27-22 lead with 6:33 left. SNU though closed out the half with an 11-2 run to lead 33-29 lead at the half. Southern Nazarene never trailed from there again.
 
The Crimson Storm now come back home and will host East Central, Thursday, at 7:30 in a GAC contest.
