NORTH NEWTON, Kan. — Southern Nazarene closed out the regular season with a pair of wins as SNU lost just one match is an 8-1 win over Nebraska Wesleyan and swept Bethel (Kan.), 9-0.

The Crimson Storm (11-5) now get prepared for the NAIA Independent Tournament April 19-20 at the OKC Tennis Center.

Against NWU Olga Kozhevnikova, Deisi Bolivar, Marina Shipilova, Steffie Plaza and Viktoriya Lukinova all won in straight sets at No. 1-5 singles. Hillary Galbraith was the only Storm player to fall as she went down in straight sets at No. 6 singles. Kozhevnikova and Lukinova won 8-4 at No. 1 doubles while Bolivar and Plaza won 8-3 at No. 2 doubles and Shipilova and Galbraith won 8-6 at No. 3.

The Storm dropped just one set against Bethel as SNU recorded its third 9-0 sweep of the year. Kozhevnikova and Bolivar won in straight sets at No. 1 and 2 singles while Shipilova battled back at No. 3 singles after dropping the first set. Plaza, Lukinova and Allison White all won in straight sets at 4-6 singles.

Kozhevnikova and Lukinova won 8-4 at No. 1 doubles while Plaza and Bolivar won, (8-2) at No. 2 and Shipilova and Galbraith won 9-8 (10-3) at No. 3.
