EMPORIA, Kan. — Southern Nazarene had a handful of top 20 finishes at the Emporia State Relays.

Kendra Nixon took 17th in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:16.32 while Justine Harper was right behind in 18th at 1:18.82. Jamie Hope and Michaelah Wieczorek both finished in the top 10 in the high jump as both cleared five feet one inch.

Kylie Cooper cleared nine feet 10 inches in the pole vault while Laresa Miller recorded a 36.87-meter throw in the discus. On the men's side Scott Irvin took fifth after he cleared a height of 15 feet one inch.

Aaron Goble took 13th in the 5,000-meter run at 15:59.16 while Jess Jenkinson took 14th in the triple jump with a distance of 38 feet and 6 ¾ inches. Travis Boyd finished ninth in the hammer throw at 48.76 meters and 17th in the shot put with a throw of 13.25 meters.

SNU now gets set for the KT Woodman in Wichita, Kan., Saturday.
