CLAREMORE, Okla. — Three players scored in double figures as No. 12 Southern Nazarene, 73-60, at Rogers State.
C.J. Henry scored a team-high 13 points while Daniel White had 12 and Jon West had 11 for the Crimson Storm (21-6, 15-4 SAC). John Boyd scored a game-high 26 points as Rogers State rebounded from a 14-point deficit in the first half and closed it to 29-23 before White gave the Storm a 31-23 lead at the half.
It was all Hillcats (16-9, 12-6 SAC) in the second half as they shot 71.4 percent form the field and 66.7 percent from 3-point range in the second half and forced 24 SNU turnovers while giving up the ball just 12 times. The Storm shot 54.5 percent from the field, but struggled from the perimeter hitting just one trey in each half going 2-for-11 for the game from outside the arc. SNU also shot just 58.8 percent from the free throw line.
RSU outscored SNU 50-29 in the second half. Once the Hillcats took a 41-40 lead with 14:01 left to play, it was all Rogers from that point on.
The Crimson Storm will now play at John Brown, Saturday, for a 3 p.m. SAC game.
