Southern Nazarene posted a 1-0 shutout over John Brown

Pineda became the first Storm player to 10 points this season.

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. —
Southern Nazarene got a goal in the 52nd minute from Edgar Pineda that turned out to be the only goal in a 1-0 win over John Brown, Saturday afternoon.

The Crimson Storm (3-7, 2-1 SAC) were more than doubled in shots as the Golden Eagles (5-6-1, 2-1-1 SAC) took 22 shots compared to SNU's 10 and had 11 on goal while the Storm had six.

Blake Anderson came up big again in goal for SNU as he posted 11 saves. The junior has recorded at least eight saves in each of the last three games. JBU's Pablo Garcia had five saves. The Storm had just two shots on goal in the first half before firing eight in the second. JBU had 10 in the first and 12 in the second.

Southern Nazarene now prepares to take on St. Gregory's, Tuesday, for a 3 p.m. game in Shawnee, Okla.
