BETHANY, Okla. - For Kaden Manuel, choosing which college to attend meant navigating both faith and football. He received several scholarship offers, but "choosing SNU was a no-brainer for me" because of the Christian community and culture.

Growing up in Seiling, OK, Kaden and his family attended church, but he knew he wanted to immerse himself in a community that would push him even further. He enthusiastically explains, "I've never seen guys on fire like that before!"

While navigating injuries and missing time on the field, Kaden found that the culture even entered into the training room. The trainers and other athletes had conversations not just about football, but about their faith. He says that their positive attitude and encouragement helped him to maintain a positive attitude through his recovery and stay ready for the moment.

Kaden plans to finish his Bachelor's degree, then complete a Master's in Educational Leadership so that he can teach and coach in rural communities like his hometown, and lead out in developing the community and culture he loves for the next generation of students.
