TULSA, Okla. — The Southern Nazarene University Men's Golf team competed this week at the NSU Men's Golf Classic, played at Page Belcher Golf Course. The Crimson Storm finished with a three-round total of 890 (+38) on the 6,547-yard, par-71 layout.
Senior Dawson Dunlap led the way for SNU, firing rounds of 71 (E), 69 (-2), and 74 (+3) for a 214 (+1) total, good for a tie for 31st individually. His final round featured an eagle on the par-5 9th hole.
Freshman Enzo Johnson followed closely, carding rounds of 74 (+3), 70 (-1), and 74 (+3) for a strong 218 (+5) finish in his first collegiate tournament.
Senior Theodor Naus turned in rounds of 74–79–77 to close at 230 (+17), while sophomore Andrew Hill finished one shot back at 231 (+18) with rounds of 78–77–76, improving by a stroke each round. Freshman Luca Dunnington rounded out the lineup at 236 (+23) after scores of 82–76–78.
Central Oklahoma captured the team title with a score of 828 (-24), while Arkansas-Fort Smith's Sam Sewell won the individual crown at 202 (-11).
The Crimson Storm will return to action September 29-30 at the Battle for the Belt in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
