SNU Athletics Celebrate 2025 Hall of Fame Class

BETHANY, Okla. — This past weekend, Southern Nazarene Athletics celebrated the induction of five Crimson Storm alumni into the SNU Athletics Hall of Fame at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene.

The previous induction ceremony took place in 2023, when seven Storm alumni were honored. Two years later, Southern Nazarene hosted another inspiring evening to recognize the 2025 Hall of Fame class, which included Jim Dimick (Men's Basketball), Delia Febres Butler (Volleyball), Dr. Loren Gresham (Men's Basketball Coach), Amy Madden Gee (Softball), and Larikah Russell (Tennis).

Jim Dimick (Class of 1968) played a crucial role in the foundational years of SNU Athletics. A member of the inaugural men's basketball team, Dimick led the squad in scoring for four straight seasons, averaging 21.3 points per game as a freshman. He also ranks seventh and twelfth all-time in single-game scoring with 35 and 33 points, respectively.

Delia Febres Butler (Class of 1983) was a dominant force on the court, helping lead the Crimson Storm to their first Sooner Athletic Conference and District Nine Championships in 1983. Febres earned multiple honors during her career, including All-SAC, All-NAIA District 9 First Team, and MVP of the District 9 Tournament. She also earned spots on the NCCAA Regional and National All-Tournament Teams.

Dr. Loren Gresham (Coach, 1979–1986) made a lasting impact on Southern Nazarene. As the head men's basketball coach, Gresham tallied 145 wins, coached 19 All-Conference players and one All-American, and guided SNU to a Sooner Athletic Conference Co-Championship, a District Nine Title, and the program's first NAIA Men's Basketball National Championship.

Amy Madden Gee (Class of 2013) stands as one of the best hitters in program history. A two-time NAIA All-American and three-time All-Central Region selection, Gee became the first All-Conference player of SNU's NCAA Division II era in 2013. Her record-setting career featured 50 home runs and 213 RBIs — both still standing as program records.

Larikah Russell (Class of 2006) left a remarkable legacy on the tennis court as a four-year starter at No. 1 singles and doubles. She captured four Intercollegiate Tennis Association Small College National Championships — three in singles and one in doubles — and earned three invitations to the NCAA Division I Indoor National Championships.

With these five additions, the SNU Athletics Hall of Fame now includes 31 distinguished members. Southern Nazarene Athletics plans to host the next induction ceremony in 2027.
