The Crimson Storm Split in Colorado

Men's Rugby picks up a win against Montana State, but falls against host Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Crimson Storm Men's Rugby team headed west to the  Rocky Mountains to compete against Montana State and Air Force. The Storm were put to the test as they defeated Montana State, but fell short against host Air Force.

The Crimson Storm black team hit the pitch to take on the Bobcats first. The two squads battled back and forth until the final minutes. SNU was able to pull away late with a 43-31 victory to start their trip off on the right foot.

The white team took the pitch next as they faced off with Air Force. The Falcons dominated the Storm making it difficult for an SNU comeback. The host took the victory over the Storm, 51-7.

The Crimson Storm was led by a handful of members who tallied one try a piece. Daniel Laginasibau posted one try and 3/4 conversions for SNU.

Next Up

The Storm will return to the SNU Rugby Pitch to host Oklahoma for two matches on Saturday, September 21 at 10:00 am and 12:00 pm.
