BETHANY, Okla. - Southern Nazarene's women's basketball team hosted Southwestern Oklahoma State at the Sawyer Center for an afternoon matchup as they secured a solid victory with a final score of 74-49.

In the first quarter, Southwestern Oklahoma State (4-4 0-3 GAC) took an early lead with a three pointer by Mason Jones and a jumper from Averi Zinn. Southern Nazarene (6-4 ,3-1 GAC) responded with a layup by Hannah Giddey and a three pointer by Braci Nyberg to even things up at 14-14 by the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter saw SNU take control as Giddey netted another layup and Umi Otsuka added a basket. SWOSU answered back with a three pointer by Rees Berkey and a shot by Maebry Shields, but SNU still held a 35-29 lead at halftime.

The third quarter continued to favor SNU as they extended their lead. Jordan Hoffman and Katie King drained three pointers, and Otsuka added a jumper and another three pointer to stretch the Crimson Storm advantage to 57-37 heading into the final quarter of the game.

In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs tried to mount a comeback with layups from Layni Zinn, but the Storm held strong. Jena Bay's turnaround jumper and another three pointer from Nyberg sealed the victory for the Storm, who won 74-49 over SWOSU.
