Crimson Storm Cruises Past the Dustdevils

Crimson Storm get big win over Texas A&M International, 71-46

DALLAS, Texas - The Crimson Storm took on the Dustdevils of Texas A&M International in their first game of the DBU Thanksgiving Classic. The Storm dominated on all fronts remaining perfect on the season with a 71-46 victory.

The Storm (3-0, 0-0 GAC) capitalized on 18 Dustdevils and (4-4, 1-0 LSC) turnovers throughout the contest while shooting 48.4% from the field allowing them to see success on both ends of the court.

It was a quick start for SNU as they grabbed an early 7-2 lead to begin the contest. The Dustdevils snagged the lead after knocking down a three, but the Crimson Storm continued to respond. Baron Bracey and Colby Henderson teamed up for a pair of buckets putting the Storm back in front.

Bracey fueled the first once more, knocking down a three to extend the SNU lead 14-8. The Storm offense erupted from there tacking on the points. Jame Burries hit a dagger three to push the SNU lead to 11. The Crimson Storm poured in a few more points to hold a 32-17 lead at the halftime break.

The Storm picked up right where they left off as Jeremy Golson hit a three to open up the second half. The shots continued to fall for SNU as Tracey Godfrey Jr. and Bracey teamed up for a handful of shots. Stevie Strong notched a three to give the Storm a 50-25 lead.

Burries added on a layup and drew a foul for the three-point play pushing SNU ahead once more. From there the Storm held all the momentum as they continued to tack on the points. Strong finished off the contest with a layup and a three-pointer to secure the 71-46 victory over TAMUI.
