MAGNOLIA, Ark. — Southern Arkansas continued on from their Day 1 doubleheader heat as the nationally ranked Muleriders (35-9, 26-4 GAC) picked up the Day 2 win over the Storm (11-34, 6-24 GAC) to conclude the series, going 3-0 on the weekend
The Muleriders didn't lose much of their fire overnight, opening the day with 10-run, 1st inning, putting SNU in a hole early on.
The deficit was slowly erased in the 2nd, starting with two walks from Cole Embrey and EJ Taylor on hits by a pitch to send in Oloiver Wilson and Noah Ellis to put SNU behind 3-10. Brian Brown shook up the Muleriders with a huge grand slam to left center, plating Taylor, Embrey, and Drake Irby to move on up to a 6-10 trail.
Pitcher Cobey Gorrell silenced the Muleriders in the second, giving SNU a chance to climb on the scoreboard even more in the 3rd. Taylor's double would give Embrey the score as he advanced home on an SAU muffed throw. Brown did some damage again with a single to give Taylor the trip home, earning SNU the close 8-10 trail.
Southern Arkansas broke free in the 4th, putting up a double and home run to quickly extend their lead back to seven at 15-8.

Brian Brown was the highlight of the day, showing off his first grand slam of season to finish 4-5 with five RBI's and a double.
