EDMOND, Okla. – For the second time this season, the Southern Nazarene Baseball team (5-22, 5-16 GAC) matched up with out-of-conference foe, Oklahoma Christian (18-10, 15-9 LSC), on Tuesday night in Edmond. Due to inclement weather, the contest was cut short in the middle of the 5
th inning. SNU trailed 7-0 by the game's ending.
It took until the 4
th inning for either team to make any noise as the Eagles put up two and turned around to tack on five more in the next inning. However, with the score sitting at 7-0, SNU's chances of a comeback had to be delayed as thunderstorms caused the contest to be called.
Only two Crimson Storm batters,
Colby Entwistle and
Brian Brown, registered a hit through these few innings.
Kasen Jackson took the bump through 4.0 inning as he struck out a season-high five batters. Jackson was credited with today's loss as he allowed five runs, bringing his season record to 1-1. Adrien Flores and
Zach Birkle also saw action as each pitched for under an inning.
Southern Nazarene will look to this weekend as they travel to Monticello for a weekend series with University of Arkansas-Monticello. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
