BETHANY - In a game that invovled a total of 48 fouls, Southern Nazarene survived a resilent effort from the East Central Tigers to win 75-64 and extend their win streak to four on Saturday afternoon.

The Crimson Storm (11-3, 8-2 GAC) struggled to put the ball in the basket as they finished the game at a 40.4 percent shooting clip, 4.8 points less than the 45.2 field goal percentage the Tigers (3-13, 1-9 GAC) posted. ECU was also able to edge SNU from the charity stripe as East Central finished at 79.2 percent to the 74.4 perecent of Southern Nazarene.

SNU was able to control the boards in the game as they hustled to 29 rebounds, three more than ECU. Southern Nazarene played vere greedy as they were able to force 15 turnovers, grab seven steals, and deny six shots.

The Storm started the first shooting a efficient 5-of-10 from the floor, and 5-of-6 from the free throw line. The Tigers answered the call by coming out on fire from behind the arc, knocking down four triples. Myriam Garcia led SNU in the first with six points. It was a very exciting second quarter as both teams traded blows, as there were four lead changes. The Crimson Storm bench was most impressive as they put up a whopping 19 points in the first half as the game sat at 35-32 going into the break.

Sonia Sarda led the Storm with 17 points on 4-of-8 shooting, with seven of those points coming from the free throw line, four assists and three steals. Sarda was clutch for SNU as 10 of her 17 points came late in the fourth. Jaycee Soap had it going from distance as she collected 14 points, with all of her field goal points coming from behind the arc. Soap also added three rebounds and two assists.

Alexus Jones was vital in today's victory as she fought her way to 14 points, three steals, and six rebounds. Kennedy Gillette was prominent of the boards as she pulled down a team-high seven rebounds en route to her seven points. Irene Perez was also efficent in her 16 minutes as she was able to post seven points and four rebounds.

The Tigers scratched and clawed to an exhilarating fourth quarter in the Sawyer Center, but the deficit was too great as the Storm ultimately came out victorious.
