BETHANY -- After a big 18-point win on Thursday night against Arkansas Tech, Southern Nazarene extended their win streak to two with a crucial 79-72 win over Harding on Saturday afternoon inside the Sawyer Center.

The Crimson Storm (9-3, 6-2 GAC) didn't take long to make their mark leading by 10, just six minutes into the game. Jaycee Soap started off by lighting it up with two quick threes. The first quarter was all about field goal percentage as Harding (7-7, 4-4 GAC) only shot a measly 37 percent  from the floor, while the Storm shot with a very efficient 80 percent. For the game, SNU shot 55.8 percent from the floor, their highest percentage all season

In the second quarter, it was more of the same with SNU besting HU most of the quarter. Overall, the first half was high scoring by both squads, during which both teams combined for a total of 11 threes. In the first half, Sonia Sarda took over the game with 17 points on (8-10) with five assists. The exciting first half, which included five lead changes ended with a score of 43-37.

During the third quarter, Southern Nazarene started to pull away from the Lady Bisons. The Crimson Storm took advantage of the Lady Bisons low field goal percentage, going just 3-of-12 from the field. Harding also added five of their turnovers in the third quarter alone. At the start of the fourth quarter, the score was 60-46 with SNU leading. After trailing most of the game, HU wasn't going away without a fight.

Harding had a much more efficient fourth quarter, shooting 60 percent from the floor while Southern Nazarene shot just 33 percent . Late game heroics by Sarda saved SNU, as she scored all of her six second half points late in the 4th. She finished with a career-high 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting, and also added seven assists for the Storm. Jaycee Soap also had a tremendous game as she scored 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting, collected four rebounds and dished out four assists.
