OKLAHOMA CITY - The Southern Nazarene men's basketball team were recognized at the Oklahoma State Capitol for their tremendous accomplishments on the court the last two seasons on Monday afternoon. 

"Our team was honored to receive the invitation to represent SNU at the State Capitol." said Head Coach Adam Bohac. "Thank you to SNU Alum and State Representative Marilyn Stark ('80) for the invitation and opportunity for our team to be recognized for an outstanding season."

SNU's seven seniors were honored on the floor as they were met with applause including seven government officials that are alums of BNC/SNU.

In the last two seasons, SNU has won 27 or more games in back-to-back seasons and has an astonishing 56-9 record, a 45-5 GAC record, and a 27-1 mark at home.

SNU's 21-1 GAC record in 2017-18 set a new GAC mark for the best conference record in men's basketball history and became the first team in both school and GAC history to win back-to-back conference championships in the regular season as well as the tournament. They were one of four schools in all of Division II to accomplish this feat in 2018-19.

SNU competed in the NCAA Central Region for the first time in 2017-18 and returned in 2018-19. The Crimson Storm earned their first ever NCAA postseason win in 2019, defeating St. Cloud State 81-61. 

Noah Starkey was also named GAC Defensive Player of the Year for the second straight year while Jhonathan Dunn was the GAC Player of the Year in 2018. Adam Bohac has earned back-to-back GAC Coach of the Year honors, which he would recognize as a staff award. 

Dunn, Starkey, and Micah Speight also all entered the 1,000 point club this past season with Dunn moving into the Top 10 all-time in career points.

SNU has been ranked in the NABC Top 25 National Rankings for 27 consecutive weeks.
