EDMOND, Okla. — Southern Nazarene kicked off its 2017 cross-county season Saturday morning, as the men's and women's teams both competed at the UCO Land Run.
 
Kyra Fuller led the way for the women, as the junior finished in 29^th with a time of 20:04. Other placers for the women's team included: Kaitlyn Janka in 65^th (21:24), Che Burge in 71^st (21:40), Lauren Stitt in 81^st (22:01), Emma Green in 86^th (22:18), Kadijah Almarles in 98^th (23:24), Isabella Hotchstetler in 103^rd (25:21), and Lauren Toney in 104^th (25:23).
 
Luis Guerra led the way for the men's team, as he finished 28^th in the 5K at (21:32). Also placing for the Crimson Storm were Cody Jones in 42^nd (22:15), Blake Crouch in 49^th (22:36), Jackson Witt in 52^nd (22:56), Aaron Brinegar in 55^th (23:23), Garrison Bluhm in 57^th (23:34), Zach McAlphin in 59^th (23:45), Evan Wilson in 67^th (24:50), and Jarrod Ferguson in 69^th (29:26).
 
The women's team finished in tenth place, and the men's team finished in sixth place.
 
Southern Nazarene is back in action next Saturday at the SWOSU Open in Weatherford.
