ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Southern Nazarene shot just 6-for-17 from behind the arc in a 80-73 loss Saturday afternoon to Ouachita Baptist.

The Tigers (4-3, 2-2 GAC) knocked down 12 three-pointers and shot an even 50 percent from three-point range. They shot 47 percent from the field while the Crimson Storm (3-2, 2-2 GAC) shot 43 percent from the field. The Tigers shot 29 free throws as SNU totaled just 13, which turned out to be the difference in the game down the stretch.

Alexus Jones had a team-high 15 points to lead the way for Southern Nazarene, as the freshman also tallied seven assists.
Kennedy Gillette scored a career-high 12 points off the bench, and
Addison Foster added 10 points off the bench as well. SNU gave the ball away 10 times, but forced 13 Tiger turnovers.

After the teams traded buckets to open the game, Ouachita closed the first quarter on a 12-2 run to take a 24-12 lead at the break. The Storm responded in the second quarter by opening the period on a 11-0 run to take a 25-24 lead with 4:22 left, and went into the half trailing 40-38.

SNU shot 53 percent in the third quarter, as they shot 4-of-5 from three-point range to take a 62-59 lead into the fourth quarter. The Tigers then made 12-of-13 free throw attempts in the fourth quarter, and the Storm shot just 26 percent for the period, as they were outscored 21-11 in the fourth quarter.
