BETHANY, Okla. — There's no way to ask for a better start for Southern Nazarene than four wins in four games, but SNU did it again Wednesday night with an 83-68 win over Nebraska-Kearney.

Quaylon Newton notched a career-high five blocks, which is tied for the second most blocks in a single-game in school history. Newton also added eight points and three rebounds.

Jhonathan Dunn was one of three players who scored in double figures as he notched his second 20-point game in three games. The sophomore scored a game-high 25 points and added five rebounds for the Crimson Storm (4-0). Dunn tied a career-high with five 3-pointers as he was 5-for-8 from downtown and 10-for-19 from the field.
Micah Speight added 18 and
Noah Starkey had 16. Speight also added four assists and a career-high five steals while Starkey had six rebounds and was 7-for-10 from the field.

SNU shot 54.7 percent from the field and was 8-for-16 from 3-point range. The Storm scored 16 points off of 17 Lopers' (2-4) turnovers and out rebounded Kearney 35-33.

The Storm got things going with a 17-0 run early to lead 19-4, but the Lopers went on a 13-0 run to cut it to 19-17 with 8:19 left in the half. A Dunn trey and a Newton putback gave SNU a 24-17 lead with 7:04 left in the first, but the Lopers went on a 10-3 run to knot it at 27-27 with 4:08 remaining in the first.

Brady Mulkey sparked a half-ending 12-4 run as the Storm took a 39-31 lead at the break. SNU opened the second half on a 17-7 run to lead 56-38 and the lead never got back under double-digits from there.

SNU now hits the road for a six-game stretch to close out 2017 and will return back to the Sawyer Center, Jan. 4.
