BETHANY, Okla. — Bailee Turang had 22 kills, 17 digs and three blocks for Southern Nazarene in a 3-1 (25-19, 18-25, 27-25, 25-21) loss to Henderson State Friday evening.
 
The loss snaps a three-game streak for the Crimson Storm (9-9, 4-2 GAC). SNU out hit the Reddies (10-9, 3-3 GAC), .207-186, and had more digs, 88-81, but Henderson had nine aces and eight blocks compared to SNU's two aces and six blocks.
 
Kayla Thomas had 14 kills and hit .400 on the night. She also added three blocks. Makenna Hunter had nine kills and three blocks as well. Kylie Smith dished out 51 assists and added 13 digs. Meagan Ellis had both of SNU's aces to go with 14 digs, five kills and two blocks. Elyse Berlin had a career-high 26 digs while Hannah Davis had 10.
 
The Storm had 10 errors in the first set alone. It trailed just 21-18 late, but Henderson closed the first set with a 4-1 run. SNU hit .317 in the second set as Turang had eight of her kills in the second alone. The Reddies scored the first two points of the set, but SNU went on a 16-6 run to lead 16-8 and cruised to take the set and tie it at 1-1.
 
SNU led 23-21 in the third set, but the Reddies got back-to-back kills to tie it at 23. The Storm had set point twice, at 24-23 and 25-24, but Henderson Scored three straight, including a set-winning ace to lead 2-1. Southern Nazarene had another lead late in the fourth set at 20-18, but the Reddies closed on a 7-1 run to take the match.
