BETHANY, Okla. — After taking back-to-back losses at home, Southern Nazarene bounced back with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-17) sweep on the road at Arkansas-Monticello Friday afternoon.

It is the second straight road win for the Crimson Storm (10-10, 4-4 GAC) as they hit the midway point of the Great American Conference season.
Meagan Ellis had a match-high 10 kills to go with eight digs and a pair of aces.
Bailee Turang also had 10 kills, nine digs and four blocks while
Kayla Thomas had seven kills.
Kylie Smith dished out 26 assists and had eight digs and four kills to go with three aces.
Elyse Berlin also had two aces along with 15 digs.
Makenna Hunter also had five blocks.

SNU as a team hit .221 (38-15-104) and held the Blossoms (7-13, 1-7 GAC) to a .0.55 clip. The Storm had 49 digs along with seven blocks and seven aces. UAM had 47 digs, six aces and three blocks.

In the opening set, SNU broke a 6-6 tie on a
McKayla Benner kill that started a 14-4 run to give SNU a 20-10 lead. The Blossoms fired back with a 12-4 run to cut it to 24-22, but Smith closed it out with a kill to give SNU the 1-0 lead. The Storm broke an early tie again in the second set at 7-7 on a Berlin ace and took a 17-12 lead with a 10-5 run. Monticello answered again as well and used an 11-7 run to get within one at 24-23, but this time Turang closed the door with a kill to put SNU up 2-0.

In the final set, there were six ties before UAM broke an 11-11 tie with a 5-2 run to lead 16-13. The Storm flipped the tables though with a 12-1 run to close the match and get the sweep.
