MAGNOLIA, Ark. — For the second straight match, Southern Nazarene notched a sweep against a Great American Conference opponent with a 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-18) win over Southern Arkansas Saturday.
 
The Crimson Storm (11-10, 5-4 GAC) have won three straight on the road. Bailee Turang led the way for SNU with 15 kills and 18 digs for her 11th double-double of the year. She also added three blocks. Kayla Thomas finished with nine kills. Kylie Smith dished out 37 assists and added seven digs and seven kills. Elyse Berlin also had 14 digs while Hannah Davis had 12. Meagan Ellis also had nine digs and six kills. Makenna Hunter had three blocks and four kills too.
 
The Storm hit .263 (47-16-118) while holding the Muleriders (6-17, 0-9 GAC) to a .074 clip. SNU also had 67 digs and five blocks.
 
The Crimson Storm opened the match on an 11-6 run and opened it up to a 17-7 lead as it cruised to a 1-0 lead in the match. Turang had five of her kills in the first set as she hit .333.  The tables got flipped in the second set, as the Muleriders jumped out to an 11-6 lead. SNU answered with a 9-3 run, capped by two straight Meagan Ellis kills, to lead 15-14. There were five more ties after that before SNU broke a 22-22 tie with three straight, including kills by Kylie Smith and Kayla Thomas to give the Storm a 2-0 lead.
In the final set, SNU led from start to finish on their way to its sixth straight set win.
