ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — After struggling in its Saturday doubleheader against Ouachita, the struggles continued into Sunday for Southern Nazarene as fell 8-1 on the road.
 
The Crimson Storm (8-37, 5-25 GAC) were officially eliminated from Great American Conference postseason play, as they were swept for the fourth consecutive weekend in GAC play.
 
Though the game ended up lopsided, it was close through the first seven innings. After Ouachita scored in the bottom of the first, SNU tied it up in the second when Anthony Wiggins scored on a ground ball by Easton Rodgers.
 
The Tigers added a run in the fourth to make the score 2-1, where it remained until the eighth inning. That was when Ouachita blew the game open, scoring six runs in the frame to end all hopes of a comeback for the Storm.
 
Jacob Spruill (0-10) started on the mound for Southern Nazarene and surrendered four runs on five hits while striking out three over seven innings. Dante Archuleta threw a scoreless inning of relief, giving up one hit while striking out one. Mike Descisciolo led the Storm at the plate, as he was the only SNU player with multiple hits. Wiggins and Tyler Stevens recorded the only other hits for the Crimson Storm.
