SHAWNEE, Okla. — Southern Nazarene waited until the seventh inning to erupt for 10 runs in an 11-0 win over Oklahoma Baptist Tuesday in the first game of a doubleheader. SNU fell 8-7 in the second game after leading 6-3 heading in the bottom of the sixth.
 
The Crimson Storm (16-20, 9-17 GAC) had seven of its 13 hits in the final inning as 
Jill Clemence led the way going 4-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored. 
Sydni Toilolo went 3-for-4 with four RBIs and one run scored while 
Kyndall Freer-Christopher went 2-for-5 with a pair of RBIs.
 
Clemence scored the first run of the game on a double to left by Toilolo and then got behind 
Kayla Wyatt (10-9) who had a no-hitter going through the first five innings. The senior walked just one and had eight strikeouts through five before giving up a hit in the sixth.
 
She held the 1-0 lead through the sixth before the barrage of runs in the top of the seventh. Freer-Christopher started the run with a two-run single before a bunt single by 
Katelyn Brown made it 4-0. 
Hannah LeBeau added two more with a single to right before a 
Jessica Thompson sacrifice squeeze gave the Storm a 7-0 lead. Clemence made it 8-0 with a single to right and Toilolo capped the inning with her ninth home run of the year with a three-run shot to center field.
 
Wyatt notched her third complete game shutout of the year. She gave up just two hits and struck out 12.
 
In the nightcap, SNU held a 6-3 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth, but the Bison scored five in the bottom half of the inning to take an 8-6 lead. The Storm scored one in the seventh on a leadoff home run by LeBeau, but were retired in order from there.
 
Brown threw the first 4.1 and gave up just three runs on five hits and struck out four. Wyatt took center circle with one out and a runner on in the bottom of the fifth, but got out of the inning. In the sixth though one error turned into five unearned runs as Wyatt gave up those unearned runs on five hits, and struck out five, in the loss.
 
Clemence and Brown each went 2-for-3 and a run scored while Brown had two RBIs. LeBeau also went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.
 
SNU took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first on a 
Hope Martin bases-loaded walk, but the Lady Bison (12-20, 9-15 GAC) answered with one in the bottom of the first. The Storm took a 3-1 lead in the top of the third on a two-run blast to center by Brown for her first home run of the year. OBU tied it in the bottom of the fifth with two, but SNU rallied for three in the top of the sixth. 
Sam Smith hit her ninth home run of the year to score the first two before Toilolo hit her 10
th home run of the year with two-run rip to center.
 
The Lady Bison got the last say with their five runs in sixth and held the Storm back from there. SNU had nine hits in the second game to out hit OBU 9-8.
