BETHANY, Okla. — Despite jumping out to a 14-11 lead after the first quarter, Southern Nazarene fell 81-55 at home to No. 16 Arkansas Tech.

The Crimson Storm (4-14, 3-12 GAC) matched a season-high with 22 turnovers that led to 22 points for the Golden Suns. ATU erupted after the first quarter as it started the second period on a 15-4 run. Tech outscored SNU 25-10 in the second quarter and led 36-24 at the half.

Southern Nazarene got going on the offensive end after the intermission as it shot 44.8 percent and went 4-of-11 from deep in the second half. Unfortunately, the Arkansas Tech offense was even hotter. The Golden Suns, who came in leading the Great American Conference with 83.6 points per game, shot 51.4 percent from the field after intermission and ended the game on a 13-3 run.

Abby Boyd led the Crimson Storm with 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting.
Adrienne Berry was the only other SNU player in double-figures as she added 14 points while shooting 4-of-8 from beyond the arc.

Arkansas Tech dominated the area around the basket as it outscored the Crimson Storm 48-12 in the paint. The Golden Suns received contributions from all over their roster as they finished with five players in double-figures.
