EDMOND, Okla. — Southern Nazarene's losing streak to begin the season reached nine games as SNU dropped a 12-2 road contest to Central Oklahoma.

The Crimson Storm (0-9) recorded two singles in the first inning but had just three hits the rest of the way. UCO jumped ahead in the bottom of the second with a two-out single to take a 2-0 lead. The Bronchos brought in two more runs in the third to extend the lead to 4-0.

SNU tacked on a run in the top of the fourth as
Cody Nelson scored on a wild pitch after walking then advancing on a single by Mike Descisciolo. The wheels fell off in the bottom half of the inning for the Crimson Storm as Central Oklahoma scored three unearned runs to take a 7-1 lead. After the Bronchos scored four more runs in the sixth,
Jefferson Harris drove in
Ryan Tucker in the top of the seventh for SNU's final run of the game. UCO added another run in the bottom of the seventh to reach the run-rule.

Cody Tolbert made his first start of the season and gave up four runs on four hits and three walks in three innings. The Crimson Storm bullpen combined for 3.1 innings of relief and gave up eight runs, with just three of those runs being earned.Â
