WEATHERFORD, Okla. — Four players scored in double figures for Southern Nazarene in an 80-75 loss at Southwestern Oklahoma State Saturday.

CJ Rodriguez scored a team high 19 points to lead the way for the Crimson Storm (10-13, 9-8 GAC). He also had four rebounds, three steals and two assists. The senior was also 8-for-13 from the line.
Deshon Portley and
Garrett Butler each had 13 points as they combined to go 7-for-7 from the line. Porter added six assists while Butler went 3-for-5 from downtown off of the bench.
Noah Starkey also added 11 points and five rebounds.

Southern Nazarene shot 43.6 percent from the field and went 8-for-21 from 3-point range. The Storm also went 19-for-26 from the free-throw line. The Bulldogs (14-9, 10-7 GAC) took advantage of 14 SNU turnovers by turning that into 18 points.

The Bulldogs jumped out a 17-8 lead early in the first half and were up 25-16 when
Garrett Butler started a 16-8 run to cut it to 33-32 with 1:50 left in the half. Southwestern took a 39-34 lead into the break. SNU stayed within striking distance and were down 63-57 with 9:29 left in the game when it went on an 11-2 run capped by a Butler layup to take a 68-65 lead with 5:45 to play.

The Bulldogs though went on a 13-3 run to lead 78-71 with 27 seconds left and held on for the win.Â
