CANYON, Texas — Southern Nazarene had two players record double-doubles, but it wasn't enough as Southern Nazarene fell 82-81 in overtime to West Texas A&M Saturday afternoon.

Southern Nazarene had five players score in double-figures. C.J. White finished with 14 points and a career high 13 rebounds and Noah Starkey finished with a team high 16 points and added 12 rebounds for the Crimson Storm (2-4, 1-1 GAC). Jhonathan Dunn finished the game with 14 points and four rebounds. SNU shot 48.4 percent form the field and were 5-for-14 from 3-point range. West Texas A&M (8-1) scored 17 points off of 21 Storm turnovers and turned the ball over just nine times. The Buffs shot 33.8 percent from the field and made 7-of-29 3-pointers. West Texas A&M scored majority of their points at charity stripe as they made 31-of-45 free throws.

The Storm led by as many as eight in the second half as SNU went on a 16-6 run capped by a White layup to put the Crimson Storm up 69-61 with 3:37 remaining in the second half. The Buffs ended the half on a 12-4 run highlighted by a Drew Evans 3-point shot that gave the Buffs a 73-72 lead with eight seconds left in regulation. Willis was able to get a shot off and was fouled. Willis missed the first free throw, but sank the second free throw to send the game into overtime.

The overtime period belonged to the Buffs as they led the entire period. West Texas A&M built a three point lead at 76-73. SNU was able to tie the game at 76-76 after Willis hit a jumper, but that's as close as the Storm would get in overtime as the remainder of the game belonged to the Buffs.
