ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Abby Boyd scored 18 points for Southern Nazarene, but SNU shot just 42.6 percent in a 72-66 loss at Ouachita Saturday afternoon.

The Crimson Storm (0-2, 0-2 GAC) went 26-for-61 from the field and 9-for-25 from 3-point range. SNU also turned the ball over 21 times.

Boyd went 7-for-10 from the field and 2-for-4 at the 3-point line as she also added six assists.
Rachel Doerneman had 12 points and five rebounds and
Adrienne Berry also reached double figures as she scored 12 points.Â

The Tigers (2-2, 2-0 GAC) shot 38.7 percent from the field and drained five 3-pointers. Ouachita also went 19-for-23 from the line. SNU went 5-for-10 at the charity stripe.

Ouachita jumped out to a 38-27 lead early in the first half, and continued to apply the pressure as the Tigers held SNU to just 17 points in the third quarter. The Storm were able to cut the lead to five, four different times in the fourth quarter, but that's as close as they would get to the Tigers. Ouachita outrebounded SNU 43-33 and outscored the Storm 36-20 in the paint, which all factored in to a six point win for the Tigers.
