WICHITA FALLS, Texas — Bailee Turang and
McKenna Qualls combined for 27 of Southern Nazarene's 37 kills as SNU downed Midwestern State, 3-1 (25-22, 25-22, 15-25, 25-14), Saturday afternoon.

The Crimson Storm (14-10) knocked off the Mustangs (11-16) for just the second time in 14 matches and snapped a four-match skid against MSU.

Turang led the way with 15 kills and 13 digs to go with an ace and a block. Qualls had 12 kills and six digs along with a pair of aces.
Kaitlyn Vought also had two blocks and nine digs along with an ace.
Abbey Bell recorded her fourth 30-dig match with 31 on the night.
Elyse Berlin also had 35 assists, eight digs and a block.

The Storm as a team hit just .189 (46-24-159), but held the Mustangs to just a .086 clip and out dug them 92-74. SNU also had four team blocks.

Southern Nazarene bounced back from a 17-15 deficit in the first set when
Lexie Matthews sparked a 10-5 run to close out the first set. Neither team led by more than two in the first until Turang ignited a brief 3-0 run to take a 22-19 lead and kept the 3-point lead to take a 2-0 lead in the match.

SNU hit just .049 in the third set and watched the Mustangs close the set on 12-4 run to make it 2-1 in the match. The Storm though closed it out in the fourth and got off to a fast start. The Storm opened the set on a 12-4 run and never looked back.
