BETHANY, Okla. — For the second time this year, Southern Nazarene recorded three straight sweeps with a 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-000) win over Arkansas-Monticello Saturday morning.

The Crimson Storm (11-8, 6-3 GAC) had to fight through 27 ties in the first two sets, but never lost control of the match as they never trailed by more than four the entire day.

Courtney Bowie finished the day 14 kills and two blocks while
McKayla Benner had 11 kills and a block.
Elyse Berlin finished with 27 assists and 11 digs.
Abbey Bell had nine digs while
Hannah Davis had eight.
Kaitlyn Vought also had five blocks while
McKenna Qualls had three.

Monticello jumped out to an 8-4 lead, but a
McKayla Benner kill sparked an 8-2 run by SNU to lead 12-10. The Storm led 16-14 when the Blossoms used a 4-1 run to lead 18-17. After ties on the next four points, SNU broke a 21-21 tie with two straight kills by Benner to lead 23-21. Berlin gave SNU set point with a kill at 24-22 before Benner put it away with a kill to give SNU a 1-0 lead in the match. Benner had six kills and a block while hitting .667 in the set.

After 16 ties in the second set, the Storm finally got a break with a
Courtney Bowie kill and a UAM error to lead 19-17. The Storm led 20-18 before the Blossoms tied it for the 17
th time with two straight at 20-20. Back-to-back kills from Bowie and
Bailee Turang gave the Storm a 22-20 lead and SNU held Monticello at bay from there to take a 2-0 lead. Bowie had six kills and a block in the set.

SNU raced out to an 18-4 lead to start the third set and cruised from there to pick up the third straight sweep.
