ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Southern Nazarene was outscored 22-10 in the final period of tonight's game, en route to a 78-61 loss on the road to Henderson State.

The Crimson Storm (4-11, 3-9 GAC) entered the fourth quarter down just five points, and even had the deficit down to one with less than a minute to go in the third. However, the Reddies shot 53.3 percent from the floor in the final frame, while the Crimson Storm shot 23.1 percent as a team for the frame. Shooting from long range ended up being a big factor in the game, as SNU shot 2-of-14 from 3-point range on the night, while HSU shot 11-of-30 from deep.

After allowing the Reddies to jump out to a 22-13 lead after the first quarter, the Crimson Storm fought their way back into the game. SNU outscored Henderson State over the next two quarters, led by 17 points from
Abby Boyd through three quarters.

The Reddies put their foot on the gas in the fourth quarter, led by Dulincia Keener. Keener, who entered the game ranked just behind Boyd in points per game in the GAC, scored 11 points in the final quarter on 4-of-6 shooting. The Crimson Storm went cold on the quarter, as they shot 3-of-13 from the field and 0-of-4 from 3-point range.

Boyd led Southern Nazarene with 19 points on the night, and was responsible for the only two made shots from beyond the arc for SNU.
Kandyce Freeman shot 5-of-8 from the field for 12 points off the bench, while adding seven rebounds.
Rachel Doerneman was the only other Crimson Storm player in double-figures scoring, as she added 11 points and five rebounds.

Southern Nazarene turned the ball over 14 times on the night, which led to 14 Henderson State points. Second chance points also cost the Storm, as they surrendered 18 second chance points on 15 offensive rebounds by the Reddies.
