LAWTON, Okla. — Southern Nazarene looked to be on the verge of giving Cameron its first loss of the season after taking a 2-0 lead, but the Aggies protected home court to pick up a 3-2 (25-27, 23-25, 25-15, 25-12, 15-6) win.

The Crimson Storm (5-10) got a team-high 12 kills and 15 digs from
McKenna Qualls who helped SNU hit .225 and .135 in the first and second set. Southern Nazarene though was held to a negative hitting percentage in each of the last three sets. Qualls also added two blocks and three aces.

Elyse Berlin had 35 assists, eight digs, five kills and a pair of aces.
McKayla Benner had nine kills and three blocks.
Kaitlyn Vought had three assists to go with three blocks and 12 digs.
Abbey Bell posted a career-high 37 digs while
Hannah Davis had 16.

The Storm had 95 digs, but Cameron out dud them with 104. Each team had 10 blocks.

The two had eight ties and five lead changes in the opening stanza, and were up 24-21 when the Aggies when on a 3-0 run to tie it at 24. Cameron tied it again at 25, but the Storm got a kill and a block by
Courtney Bowie to take the first set. SNU had to battle back from behind in the second set as they trailed 18-13, but the Storm closed the set with a 12-5 run to jump out to a 2-0 lead.

The Aggies though answered and lead nearly from start to finish in the final three sets.Â
