RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. — Southern Nazarene had a handful of career-highs as it had four players with double-figure kills and three players with double-figure digs in a 3-1 (18-25, 25-18, 25-19, 25-23) win over Pittsburg State.

Kaitlyn Vought was just a kill shy of her career-high and was just a dig short of a double-double with 12 kills and nine digs to lead the Storm (5-5). She also had two aces.
Lexie Matthews,
McKenna Qualls and
Courtney Bowie all had 10 kills and
Makenna Hunter had a career-high nine kills while hitting .316.
Elyse Berlin nearly had her first 50-assists match, but still posted a career-high 47 assists.

Abbey Bell,
Makayla Shonamon and Hannah Havis combined for 50 of SNU's 76 digs. Bell led the way with 24 digs while Shonamon had a career-high 14 and Davis had 12. The Storm as a team had three blocks and hit .211 (59-23-171).

After dropping the first set, SNU used an 8-3 run capped by a Bowie kill to tie it at 1-1. The Storm hit .349 in the second set and then had nine ties and five lead changes in the third before Qualls broke a 17-17 tie with a kill as SNU closed the third on an 8-2 swing. In the fourth, the Storm led 20-16 late, but PSU answered back to tie it at 22. After a tie at 23, Hunter closed it out with back-to-back kills to give SNU its second straight win.
