ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Southern Nazarene put a cap on its second Great American Conference series of the year as SNU closed out the four-game set against Ouachita Baptist with a 4-2 win. OBU took the first game of the Friday doubleheader 10-2 in six innings.

Ouachita Baptist jumped out to a 7-0 lead early in the opener with one in the first and blew the game open in the third with six. The Storm cut the lead to 7-2 with a run in each of the fourth and fifth innings.
Allie Baird put SNU on the board in the fourth with a single up the middle before a Padilla ground out in the fifth gave the Storm their second run.

That was all the offense SNU had as the Tigers scored three in the bottom of the sixth to score the run rule.

Kayla Wyatt (6-8) got the start, but went just one innings. She gave up just one run on three hits and struck out one. Baird went 2-for-2 with an RBI while
Jill Clemence and
Sam Smith each went 2-for-3. Clemence also scored a run.

In the nightcap, SNU took a 1-0 lead on an OBU error before tacking on another run in the top of the third when Padilla singled up the middle to score Clemence. The Storm added two more in the top of the fourth on a Clemence single and another OBU error to lead 4-0. The Tigers finally got on the board in the bottom of the fourth with two, but that was it for OBU.

Katelyn Brown (8-10) went the distance as she won her third straight game. The freshman allowed just two runs, only one of which was earned, and gave up just four hits in the complete-game. She also struck out four.
