BETHANY, Okla. — Southern Nazarene extended its winning streak to four straight games with an 8-7, 6-1 doubleheader sweep of Hillsdale Baptist Saturday afternoon.

The Crimson Storm (12-25) had to rally from being down 7-3 in the opener and scored five runs in the bottom of the seventh to score the win before giving up just one run on three hits in the nightcap.

In the opener, Hillsdale scored first with a two-run shot to right field, but SNU answered with two runs in the bottom half on a
Caleb Teel two-run single to left. The Saints put three more on the board in the top of the third with a three-run home run to left.

The Storm got one back in the bottom of the fourth when
Michael Descisciolo led off the inning with his sixth home run of the year. Hillsdale though put another one across the board in the fifth and sixth to push the lead to 7-3.

SNU started chipping away at the lead the in the bottom of the seventh and put two runs across on a
Dalen Edgar double to center before
Anthony Wiggins doubled to right to score Edgar to put the Storm within one at 7-6.
Caleb Teel then doubled to left to score Wiggins to tie it. After Hillsdale walked
Brandon Dormaier to load the bases,
Riley Morrow laced a deep single to win the game.

Micahel Descisciolo (2-2) picked up the win after the sophomore gave up just one hit in two innings of work.
Mason Pinion got the start and gave up six earned runs on nine hits in five innings of work. Teel and Wiggins each went 3-for-4. Teel had three RBIs while Wiggins had one RBI and two runs scored. Edgar also went 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two run scored.

Hillsdale scored first in the nightcap as well with one in the top of the first, but SNU got a sacrifice fly to center to tie it at 1-1 in the bottom half of the inning. Descisciolo then gave the Storm a 2-1 lead when he hit his seventh home run of the year with a solo shot to left center. The Storm added two more runs in the inning on a wild pitch to lead 4-1.
Southern Nazarene pushed it to 5-1 on a
Zach Friesen ground out before a Descisciolo sac fly made it 6-1 through three.

That was all the room Wiggins needed as he went the distance and allowed just one run, which was unearned, on three hits. He also struck out seven in seven innings of work. Wiggins also led the way at the plate as he went 2-for-3.
