ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Southern Nazarene may have had its most complete day Thursday in a 13-1 and 8-2 sweep of Ouachita Baptist.

The Crimson Storm (13-18, 9-12 GAC) scored all 13 runs and had 16 of its 17 hits in the first three innings of the opening contest. Nine of those hits came from the first three batters in the lineup as
Melissa Padilla led the way. The junior went 4-for-4 with four RBIs and two runs scored.
Jill Clemence went 3-for-4 with three runs scored while
Kylie Lang went 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
Sydni Toilolo and
Sam Smith each went 2-for-3 as Toilolo drove in two and scored two runs while Smith had five RBIs and scored a run.
Katelyn Brown also went 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

The Storm also got a lights out performance in the circle from
Kayla Wyatt (6-7) as she gave up just one run on three hits and struck out seven in five innings of work.

Padilla drove in the first three runs of the game with her fifth home of the year before a
Hannah LeBeau single through the left side made it a 4-0 game in the first. Padilla drove home another run in the top of the second with a double to left before Brown made it 6-0 with a single through the left side.
Sam Smith then blasted a grand glam to put SNU on top 10-0.

Ouachita scored its lone run in the bottom of the second to make it 10-1, but SNU tacked on three more in the third. Toilolo's single to center drove home two before Smith singled through the left side to drive the final run of the game across the plate.

In the nightcap, it was the middle half that did the majority of the damage as the five through seven spots in the order went 7-for-12. Brown led the way going, 3-for-4 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Smith and
Jessica Thompson each went 2-for-4 with a run scored while Smith drove in three runs and Thompson drove in a run.

Brown (7-10) also picked up the win as she did not allow an earned run, just two runs total, and gave up just four hits while striking out seven in the complete-game outing.

SNU jumped out to a 4-0 lead with one in the second, two in the third and one in the fourth inning.
Katelyn Fischer drove in the first run of the game with a single to left in the second before Brown singled to right to make it 2-0 in the third. Smith made it 3-0 with a single to right before Lang drove in Clemence with a ground out.

The Tigers (9-19, 5-14 GAC) cut it to 4-2 with two in the fourth, but SNU put it away with three in the third. Brown singled to left center to give Southern Nazarene a 5-2 lead. The Storm then got back-to-back jacks from Smith, her second home run of the day, and Thompson to secure the win.
